blooms, pups, and long grass

These photos are a few weeks old--I had this roll processed when I had my 120 film processed but then the weekend came and other things took priority and blah blah blah.
It appears as though some of these negatives were scanned upside down--as in, I placed the wrong side of the film against the scanner and ended up with flipped images (see the backwards word "Ball" in the fourth photo?).  I read somewhere that you're supposed to put the shiny side down, but I'm having a pretty hard time figuring out which side that is on color 35mm, since both sides look pretty shiny to me.
Oh well.
This is more or less a test roll with a pretty sophisticated camera.  My opinion these days is that I'd rather shoot a heavy, vintage SLR with shutter speed increments of 15, 30, 60, 125, 250, 500, 1000, and so on...none of this precise, in-between business for now.
I must say, one of my favorites here is the second to last photo, the landscape-oriented shot of the black lab.  He has such a human expression on his face.  I just love it.
