Marissa and Brenden got married on the second-to-last day of 2012, in bright and beautiful but very chilly weather! I met Marissa for the first time at 9am on her wedding day--she had contacted me from Hawaii regarding her Leesburg, VA wedding almost a year prior, and due to our very distant locations, we weren't able to meet until the big day. It was no matter, because she and Brenden were so kind and a pleasure to work with. We did a first look at a park they both love, but the wind near the river was so cold that we barely spent 10 minutes outside before running back to the cars to warm up. We took a few more photos in quaint downtown Leesburg, and Marissa and Brenden were such good sports despite the cold (I know she must have been absolutely freezing, coming from Hawaii and donning her sleeveless gown). The ceremony was held outdoors at the Thomas Birkby House, followed by family portraits in the warmth of the carriage house. Their reception took place at the nearby Lightfoot Restaurant with much joy and dancing. Marissa & Brenden, I wish you the best and hope you're warming up back in sunny Hawaii!
